A Vampire Ball

Enjoy a sit-down dinner and then dance to monster hits and tantalizing tunes.

Dress in your finest black and red--wear smart casual or go all out. Or come as your favorite creature of the night to compete in our Costume Contest--we're expecting some bewitching characters to attend. Mistress of the Macabre Toni L.P. Kelner will emcee the show with the Three Weird Sisters--Guest of Honor Charlaine Harris, Rosemary Harris, and Roberta Isleib--on hand to award prizes to the Spookiest, Most Bootiful, Most Hellarious, and Beast in Show.

There will be vampiric door prizes for every table, and a sumptuous meal:

  • Spiced jack o'lantern soup with candied seeds.
  • A swirling miasma of greens mixed into a salad.
  • Herb chicken breast grilled over hellfire with balsamic reduction, devilishly exotic mushroom ragout, demonic basmati rice, and seasonal vegetables.
  • Sinfully heated chocolate surprise cake with vanilla bean anglaise.
  • For vampiric vegetarians, a monstrous stack of roasted vegetables.
