When will my name appear on the "Registrants" page?
Your name will be added to the "Registrants" list after you have filled out the online registration form here and we have received your payment. If you paid by check and your check does not immediately clear your bank, please do not be concerned. It will be deposited soon. In the meantime, if your name is on the "registrants" list, you are all set and we look forward to seeing you at Crime Bake.
What should I wear?
Dress for comfort – you’ll be sitting for most of the day. We recommend bringing layers as temperatures can vary in different conference rooms.
Is there a dress code for the banquet?
The banquet has traditionally been ‘come as you are’ however, you may want to check HERE to see if there is a special theme for the banquet.
I have dietary concerns. Can I request special meals?
Yes. A vegetarian option is provided on the registration form. Should you have other dietary requests, please email contact@crimebake.org
I’m only able to attend one day of the conference. Do I still have to play the full conference price?
Yes.
What is your refund policy?
Full refund minus $30 cancellation fee up to Oct. 31. No refund after Oct. 31.
Where can I find a description of the individual Masters Classes?

Can I register for the conference now and at a later date sign up for a Master Class and/ or the Banquet?
Yes. However, please note that Master Classes are limited to 40 attendees and sell out early. The banquet also often sells out. If you wish to add to your registration, please send an email to contact@crimebake.org
How can I register to volunteer at the conference?

How many books can I have signed by the Guest of Honor?
Although there is no set limit to the number of books you can ask an author to sign, we ask that you be considerate to those in line behind you.
Can I bring books from home to be signed?
Books can be brought from home or purchased at the conference.
How many guest tickets can I purchase for the Banquet?
A maximum of 2 guest tickets can be purchased.
Where can I find a listing of the agents and editors attending the conference?
As their attendance is confirmed during the summer and early fall, the list will be posted HERE.
Can I register to pitch with more than one agent/editor?
Registration is limited to one agent/editor.
When/how will I know who I’m pitching my manuscript to?
Upon registering at the conference registration table you will be handed an envelope containing the name of the individual you’ll be pitching to, along with the exact start time of your 5-minute pitch session. Pitch sessions are scheduled in 5-minute increments between 4 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Can I request a particular author to critique my manuscript?
No. Your manuscript will be critiqued by an author published in the particular genre you indicated for your manuscript.
Can I request more than one critique for my manuscript?
Yes. Simply indicate the number of critiques you are requesting for your manuscript in the space provided.
My manuscript won’t be ready by the October 1st deadline. Can I request an extension?
Yes. A $10 late fee will be assessed for manuscripts received October 2-14. Manuscripts will not be accepted after October 14th.
If I’m unable to meet the manuscript deadline can I request a refund?
There are no refunds for manuscript critique cancellations.
Do you offer a discount for librarians?
Yes, any New England librarian can get the discount by clicking on the "I am a paid up member of SinC" on the registration form BUT you also must enter "librarian" and the name of your library in the "pen name" box to receive the discount.
How do I add a banquet ticket to my registration for myself and/or a guest?
If you want to add a banquet ticket for yourself and/or up to 2 guests, send a check for $55 each to Sheila Connolly, New England Crime Bake, P.O. Box 731 Middleboro, MA 02346 or send an email to contact@crimebake.org and you will receive a PayPal invoice in response. Guests must be accompanied by a registered conference attendee.
