How do I register?

How do I change my registration?
You can add or drop options on your registration. Follow the link on your confirmation email or sign in HERE. Add or drop options as desired. If you have added to your total price, you will be offered the option to pay the additional amount via Paypal or check.
How do I cancel my registration?
Email us at email@example.com.
If I cancel, can I get a refund?
Until September 15, 2013 we will refund your registration fee minus Paypal and any other applicable processing fees. No refunds after September 15.
Is my registration confirmed immediately?
Participants paying via Paypal will be considered confirmed immediately. Participants paying via check will be considered Pending until a check is received. Because of the large number of people who want to attend the conference, we must receive your check within two weeks of your registration.
How does the waitlist work?
Once our registration cap has been reached, people attempting to register will be offered the opportunity to sign up for our wait list. When we receive a cancellation, the person at the top of the wait list is notified automatically by our registration system and has 48 hours to accept or decline the spot. If the potential registrant declines the spot or fails to respond, the system moves on to the next person.
Can I find out how far down I am on the waitlist?
If you contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org we can tell you what number you are on the waitlist. We cannot, however, tell you what that means in terms of your chances.
My check hasnít been deposited, should I be concerned?
No. It will be deposited soon. We will contact you proactively if we do not receive your check.
Iím only able to attend one day of the conference. Do I still have to play the full conference price?
How many guest tickets can I purchase for the Banquet?
A maximum of 2 guest tickets can be purchased.
I am an author who is not on a panel. Will the conference bookstore sell my book?
The conference bookstore only sells books by presenters and panelists. However, if you would like to bring promotional items for your book (bookmarks, postcards, etc.) we will have a table available.
AT THE CONFERENCE
What should I wear?
Dress for comfort Ė youíll be sitting for most of the day. We recommend bringing layers as temperatures can vary in different conference rooms.
Do I need to wear a costume for the banquet?
You donít need to, but many people like to.
I have dietary concerns. Can I request special meals?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are provided on the registration form. Should you have other dietary requests, please email email@example.com. The hotel is very accommodating.
How many books can I have signed by the Guest of Honor?
Although there is no set limit to the number of books you can ask an author to sign, we ask that you be considerate to those in line behind you.
Can I bring books from home to be signed?
Books can be brought from home or purchased at the conference.
Where can I find a listing of the agents and editors attending the conference?
As their attendance is confirmed during the summer and early fall, the list will be posted HERE.
Can I register to pitch to more than one agent/editor?
Registration is limited to one agent/editor.
When/how will I know who Iím pitching my manuscript to?
When you check in at the conference you will receive an envelope containing the name of the individual youíll be pitching to, along with the exact start time of your 5-minute pitch session.
Can I request a particular author to critique my manuscript?
No. Your manuscript will be assigned by the coordinator on a first come, first served basis to the best available author to critique it.
My manuscript wonít be ready by the October 1st deadline. Can I request an extension?
Yes. A $10 late fee will be assessed for manuscripts received October 2-14. Manuscripts will not be accepted after October 14th.
